BBnaija started its first edition in 2006 and 38-year-old Katung Aduwak won the TV show, The second season was held in 2017 and the prize went to Efe Ejeba which was titled ‘See Gobe’. Efe competed with other housemates like Bisola, Kemen and TBoss.
The Big Brother Naija season 3 was held in 2018 and Miracle emerged as the season winner, tagged ‘Double Wahala’. This was followed by season 4 which Mercy Ike also known as Lambo became the first female to win the BBNaija show after intense competition with housemates like Mike, Omaoshola and Tacha was held in 2019.
The Big Brother Naija season 5 was held in 2020 and Laycon became the winner with a total prize of N85 million. In 2021, Hazel Oyeze also known as “Whitemoney” Onou was crowned the winner of season 6 and went home with a total prize of ₦90 million.
Big Brother Naija season 7 was held in 2022 and Ijeoma Josephina also known as “Phyna” became the winner and went home with a total prize of ₦100 million. In 2023, Big Brother Naija season 8 was held and Ilebaye Odiniya emerged as the winner of the season with a total prize of ₦120 million. And this year 2024 Kellyrea wins Big Brother Naija season 9 TV reality show.
