The Big Brother Naija Season 7 housemate Ijeoma Josephine Otabor, popularly known as Phyna has won the BBNaija “level up” edition of the TV reality show. Bryann emerged as the first runners up. She has joined an exclusive list of the league of past winners of the BBNaija show in the likes of Hazel Oyeze Onou(Whitemoney), Olamilekan Agbeleshebibola (Laycon), Mercy Eke, Miracle Igbokwe, Efe Ejeba, Katung Aduwak etc who has emerged as winners in the previous editions of the show. She has become the second female to win the Big Brother Naija show after Mercy Eke.
The Big Brother Naija season 7 grand finale of the TV reality show went down on Sunday 2nd October 2022 after spending 10 weeks in Big Brothers’ house. Phyna who emerged as the winner will be going home with the N100 million prize, the N50 million cash prize and the rest as gifts from sponsors of the show. Phyna defeated her fellow finalists Bryann, Bella, Adekunle, Chichi and Daniella to get the grand prize.
Phyna is from Agbor in Edo State of Nigeria. She was born in June 1997. She had her primary, secondary school and tertiary education in Edo State. She was tagged as the Big Brother Naija Season 7 show alpha female on the show. She was always announcing that she was from the streets, which attracted many fans because she was herself. Phyna was among the females in this season that won the Head of House (HOH) title.

The total number of housemates that took part in the Big Brother Naija Season 7 reality show was 28 housemates which include two fake housemates and two riders. The show started on the 23rd of July, 2022 with the first twelve (12) housemates. On the 24th of July 2022, the second set of housemates was welcomed. The house was initially divided into two levels. Level 1 and level 2 had 12 housemates each before the introduction of fake housemates and riders to the show.
The main sponsor of this year’s Big Brother Naija Season 7 was Piggyvest with Flutterwaves as the associate sponsor. The host Ebuka Uchendu has hosted the show for the 6th consecutive time. MultiChoice in September announced that the 2023 edition of the Big Brother show is expected to feature contestants from Nigeria and South Africa. The show will be titled Big Brother Face off.
