ASUU Has Suspended Its 8-Month Strike – The Universities Are To Resume Now
The Academic Staff Union Of Universities ASUU has suspended its 8-month strike. The union embarked on strike on Monday 14th February 2022 due to the disagreement the body had with the Federal government of Nigeria. ASUU embarked on the strike to protest the non-implementation of the 2009 Memorandum of understanding reached by the body with the Federal government. The disagreement was on issues revolving around revitalizing public universities and review of lecturers’ salaries etc.
