The top three finalists were Chima, Lammy and Chioma. These three fought many battles to get to the finals. Their fans were wracked with nervousness because they hoped and prayed that their favourites win the Nigerian Idol season 9 competition.
Each contestant performed to their heart’s content as they made great efforts to convince the judges, viewers and Nigerians at large that they deserved to win the stated prize during their last performances in Nigerian Idol season 9.
During their last performance or outing, Chioma tried to excite the viewers with her rendition of Joel’s Kuchi Kuchi and Jennifer Hudson’s One Night Only.
On the other hand, Chima delivered a soulful Not the Girl by Dare Art Alade, and As by Stevie Wonder. This left the Judges amazed.
Lammy on his part had a heartfelt performance of African Queen by 2Baba and Alexander Burke’s Hallelujah made the guests at the event applaud. After the whole exercise, Chima wins the Nigerian Idol season 9.
